Day 1 Green Smoothie recipe:
2 cups spinach, fresh
1 ½ cups almond milk, unsweetened
1 teaspoon fresh squeezed lemon juice
1 banana
2 oranges, peeled
1 cup pineapple
2 teaspoons spirulina, optional
Note that this should make about 4 cups or so. You need to have at least 1 serving which is 2 cups (16 oz each). You can store the rest for a friend, save it for tomorrow or just halve the recipe. If storing, pour to the brim in a glass jar with a tight lid and keep in the fridge for 1-2 days. You may also freeze and thaw as needed.
If you don’t have almond milk, use coconut water, water or even almonds soaked in water overnight. Feel free to substitute as you go. The key is to have a green smoothie with the general ingredients mentioned earlier.
