Yes, I’m a week late in realizing it, but I’m looking forward to many promising things this year. Better late than never.
2011 was an eventful year (perhaps a little too eventful for my liking) so I’ll admit that, deep down, I’m quite ready to leave it behind.
It’s interesting how WordPress sends out a year-end recap of your blogging activity. That recap surprised me in a good way. It showed that I blogged far more often than I had in previous years. That may not seem like much to some, especially considering my occasional long absences, but I’m genuinely proud of that small milestone. Progress is still progress.
On another note, the annual 21-Day Yoga Journal Challenge starts today. As I make a mental promise to be more focused overall, more positive, and more mindful about living healthy, I hope this consistency that WordPress so kindly pointed out continues in the years ahead.
We chose to round out the year with an extended trip to Singapore and Bali over the winter break. It wasn’t until after we returned that I realized just how much we needed that time away. What you see in the image is a snapshot of Singapore (the Lion City) welcoming the new year.
Here’s to a 2012 that is as colorful, breathtaking, peaceful, and joy-filled as that moment, and to everything positive that lies ahead.
